About us
Where2go is an event planner, which aims to gather and reunite people who enjoy the same activities. We propose a wide array of events, for people to choose from. Part of a community, we also are a social media platform, to give the opportunity to people to meet, and go out to the same places.
Where2go was founded after a tipsy night out with 7 friends. On the very first day of our Master’s degree, we all met during our bus ride for our opening ceremony in Madrid. Although each of us came from different countries, spoke different languages with different cultures, we quickly realized that we shared a lot in common, and were notably interested in the same type of events. Our groupchat would soon be flooded by dozens of links to events all across Madrid. We would go see tennis matchs, enjoy temporary art fairs, and dance to Shakira tunes all night long. This is how where Wheretogo was born without us even knowing about it.
One night, during one of our big nights outs, one of us had a breakthrough: “What if we created a website which regrouped all of the events that we love? We can even put our preferences to filter only the places and events that we enjoy.” While brainstorming (a bit more), we came up with the revolutionary idea “Wheretogo”: an app which would help any person wondering the streets of Madrid, find events they enjoy and even better company. This way, our platform could attract strangers towards common passions, interest and hobbies - and who knows maybe even meet!
